Deane G. Keller American 1940 - 2005

Son of noted artist and distinguished professor at Yale University, he studied figure drawing and anatomy with his father. He also studied at the studio of Nera Simi, Florence Italy.

Deane was professor of drawing and anatomy of the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. He also taught at the Hartford Art School, the Woodstock School of Art and the NY Art Students League.

He illustrated and published "Draftsman's Handbook: A Resource and Study Guide for Drawing from Life" in 2003. His work is represented in public and private collections including the Brandywine River Museum and the Wadsworth Atheneum.
