Minimal
LeWitt will display new gouaches on paper as well several painted
wood geometric structures from 1985. The artworks, while spanning twenty
years, display a universal and continual use of the line that is “signature”
LeWitt. Sol LeWitt is an American Master best known for his contemporary
abstract work in both two and three dimensions. His work is part of
important museum, corporate and private collections worldwide. One of
his best-known and beloved works is a brightly colored, undulating wall
drawing that graces the lobby of the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford.
LeWitt was born in Connecticut and still resides in the state.
